Defective Foxing

These shoes looked great as new, but the foxing fell apart within the first month of use. I contacted FRYE and they generously sent me a new pair, but the same problem occurred. I must conclude that it is a defective design.

My favorite shoes but....

I bought these and almost immediately they fell apart. But I do love them they just don't hold up well at all.

Great leather, awful gluing

These shoes really don’t age well. I got these maybe six months ago and the glue almost immediately started coming off. There’s not much to be done about it because the rubber part is tearing, so re-gluing I don’t think would either make a difference or look any better. It’s a shame because I have several Frye oxfords and really love them.

Great look

I bought this shoe around 2 months ago and after around 10 times wearing it, the sides started separating from them. Extremely disappointed in the quality for these to be Frye. I will say they are very comfortable and look great. Love the idea behind them.

A great shoe, and comfortable.

This is my third pair of these, (the first cognac pair I received was eaten by my puppy, so I bought another). I don't like loafers usually, but this shoe with the eyelets is a wonderful slip-on and super comfortable. The only complaint that I have is that the very first pair I bought came with a pair of leather laces, the other two with fabric laces; a great disappointment.

The best alternative to a slip-on shoe

I have always disliked slip-ons but this shoe is comfortable and without laces it looks very cool. The fit is wonderfully comfortable and the leather high quality. The shoes come with a pair of leather shoe laces if you want to lace them up. I love all of my Frye sneakers, this may be my favorite.
