Relaxed and cool fit

I sized down x1 because these are meant to be oversize but it was too baggy for my preference. But, it was totally wearable if I had stayed my size. I don't love the button closure and wish it had a zip up. Buttons don't make for a quick exit when nature calls but I can live with it as I'm hoping the button holes widen and get softer with more washing. Gentle and not super exaggerated barrel make it so that I feel it will last when this cut is out. The rope belt doesn't really allow for cinching but that's part of the relaxed fit.

Cheaply Made

Bulky, stiff and uncomfortable

I usually love Free People's clothes and have several pairs of their baggy pants. But while these fit fine in terms of waist and length (I'm a size 2 and got size 24), they hung very strangely. The pockets and other details added too much bulk and the pants were downright stiff and bulky in a very unflattering way. They were also suprisingly heavy, to the point they might provide some resistance fitness. But that's not generally something I look for in a pair of jeans. Scratchy fabric too. Needles to say, I returned them.

Suuuuper cute - just big!

Runs big!! As per with FP, but size down. I could have gone two sizes down. And bonus- this is sold out on FP online! Only low rise jean I’ve found that I love and super into the tie string for the waist.

Yes, even short girls need!

I’ve had my eyes on these jeans for a long time! I am 5’2” around 125lbs and got a size 25. I definitely could have done a size 24 but they were out of stock. The denim is high quality and the patchwork/stitching elevate the jeans. The “barrel” isn’t too wide and fits more like a loose cargo. I love that they add more style, but fit like a comfy loose jean! Definitely will be my winter wardrobe.
