Poor customer service for bad chocolate

This box of Frangos was awful - previously melted and squished chocolates that had clearly been through some poor conditions. (I bought 4 boxes at the same time, stored them all in the same place at room temperature and only this box was defective.) It is my experience attempting to exchange this disappointing Christmas present that has left a sour taste in my mouth. No apology was proferred and my request to exchange my 16 ounce box for an 8 ounce box was turned down because it wasn't the exact item and the price had increased since my purchase. So, I gave a bad gift, tried to exchange the chocolate right after Christmas when supply was very low, and all I was told I could have was a refund. No rain check offered.

Famous Frangos

Price has increased way too much. Double price since Covid. Not the same recipe. Garrett chocolates bought them out. My husbands Mother made them at Frederick and Nelson’s for years the the Bon Marche’ bought the recipe. Once Macy’s took over they are not the same. Very waxy taste not creamy like the old recipe.
