Not a true crossbody desigh

I unfortunately had to return this bag. I loved the color (dusty sky) and the basic style and size. For me, the problem was the straps. This is listed as a crossbody bag but in reality, the shoulder strap could not be removed. This means that the wearer would have to have a rather long additional strap hanging off the bag when using the crossbody strap. Doesn't seem like a good design to me. I don't know anyone who would want that extra strap hanging off of their bag. I thought about keeping the bag but cutting off the leather shoulder strap. When I looked at the rings holding the strap, I saw that the plating was already coming off in one area. I assumed that attaching the crossbody strap with it's metal clasp would only further erode the covering on the ring. I feel somewhat duped by the website. A photo of a person carrying the bag with both straps attached would have been helpful. Had I seen that, I would not have ordered the bag. I wear only crossbody bags and in my opinion, this bag should not be listed as a crossbody bag since it is primarily a shoulder bag (permanent strap attached) with a crossbody option (detachable strap). A redesign would be beneficial! But keep the color!
