Runs very small

I’m a medium or large but sleepwear take a large to be loose. This nightgown was pretty but very small on top. I bought a large and it’s probably for a 32B. Disappointed and returning.

kinda over the top

This nightgown is a bit over the top with the lace applique. As if that part is trying too hard, but the fabric is a stiff 100% polyester that seems like it will never soften over time. All I wanted was a long nightgown with enough support up top to keep the girls in through the night. this nightgown was made for Bridgerton or something. The structure of the bust area DOES work for me and that's the only reason I kept it. It does seem that the fabric is softening a bit, which will be appreciated. My favorite nightgown is jersey knit with a stretch lace racerback and bust area - which I've had for 10 years and have been searching for another!!! Goal for designers: Soft, long nightgown with bust-keeping-in-place features. I'd be willing to pay more for silk or silk-like material, but jersey knit would be great. Can't believe it's so hard to find.
