Thought This Would Be The Bomb but It Is a Dud

I really had high hopes for this because of some of the reviews. But it is not worth the money for me. Pros: Spiral bound. AWESOME. It lays flat when open. Easy to read. Tons of recipes. Cons: The index is horrid! If you want to look up a recipe with, say, lentils, good luck. The index is by title only and let me tell you, some of the titles are very non-descriptive. Example: Brown Jug Soup or Gone All Day Casserole. And many of the recipes are just repeats of each other with one herb replaced or slightly more salt. Many recipes used canned ingredients. Ok, this may be a Pro for some people. Believe me, I have tried to use this book many, many times but wind up just going my old Betty Crocker. The seriously big turn off is the index. I do NOT want to have to go through every recipe to find the ones who use black beans or pork shoulder. I want to look up Beans and see all the different beans used in all the recipes and I want to look up Pork and see all of the pork recipes.
