FiskarsStaysharp Max 18" Reel Mower

After owning this mower for over 8 years...it has worked perfectly. Clean cutting, easy to adjust/sharpen and chews through fescue and st augustine. Very durable mower! Not sure what the negative reviews are about, but I've never had a mower in my life that has worked so well over such a long period of time.

Over 10 years of solid lawn mowing

Bought this mower over 10 years ago and it's still going strong. I've needed a few replacement parts twice in that entire time. Highly recommend.

Best Reel Mower

I have had this mower for going on 3 years, and still enjoy the mower. I keep the chain well oiled, and haven't needed to sharpen the blades yet, but i should look into it. I do keep the mower away from the elements so I'm assuming this has kept it from rust. Only downsides of the mower is that it is not easy to make sharp turns, you can not let the grass grow too long (it will not cut long seed stems from grass or other taller stems), and finally like other reel mowers it can only cut very thin twigs. anything thicker then 1/2" will get caught. This mower is also only good on even ground (I had sliced a lump off my lawn that was in the way). The mower is heavy if you have to carry it as i had to from the back yard to the small patch of my front yard. Overall I recommend. No gasoline, no chords, no batteries, no charging, and the strongest reel mower i have ever used.

After buying 3 of these in the last 3 years, I will not be buying another Fiskars reel mower. I sharpened blades according to Fiskars video and now my mower is dragging and scalping. The blades are adjusted correctly. I always mow on the lowest setting which is typical of Bermuda grass but now it's scalping and the next height setting up won't even touch the grass. I cannot figure out what went wrong but I have spent hundreds and hundreds buying these mowers and none have lasted more than one season. I will not make this mistake again.

Slices and diced

On my second season with this mower. It is excellent and have had ZERO issues. Speaking of Zero; no gas emissions or oil changes. You hippies like that, right?? Get off your duff and do it manuelo style.

Works well but support is not convenient

I have had this for a few years and it now needs some repairs, but there are no manuals or parts lists available on the website, nor any replacement parts available here. Instead of going to a hardware store and getting the part I need - just a bolt - I have to go through warranty, and it is out of warranty.
