Everything I Know About Love is streaming now on Peacock! "There is no writer quite like Dolly Alderton working today and very soon the world will know it". -Lisa Taddeo, author of #1 New York Times bestseller Three Women "Dolly Alderton has always been a sparkling Roman candle of talent. She is funny, smart, and explosively engaged in the wonders and weirdness of the world. But what makes this memoir more than mere entertainment is the mature and sophisticated evolution that Alderton describes in these pages. It's a beautifully told journey and a thoughtful, important book. I loved it". -Elizabeth Gilbert, New York Times bestselling author of Eat, Pray, Love and City of Girls The wildly funny, occasionally heartbreaking internationally bestselling memoir about growing up, growing older, and learning to navigate friendships, jobs, loss, and love along the ride When it comes to the trials and triumphs of becoming an adult, journalist and former Sunday Times columnist Dolly Alderton has seen and tried it all. In her memoir, she vividly recounts falling in love, finding a job, getting drunk, getting dumped, realizing that Ivan from the corner shop might just be the only reliable man in her life, and that absolutely no one can ever compare to her best girlfriends.

A journey of self love

This book is a beautifully put together statement about self love. Throughout this story, Alderton shares her personal experiences with love, loss, and everything/anything in between. She writes about friendship, love, and loneliness in a way I don't think I've ever read before. Reading her journey of self love and personal growth helped me begin my own and this book was truely life changing. I recommend this book to anyone else who feels lost or out if place in life.

Real and Nostalgic!

Dolly Alderton's raw and honest memoir is extremely nostalgic especially for those that grew up in the 90's. It had me laughing out loud, reminiscing, and tearing up. Everything I Know About Love covers love, dating, friendships, partying, loss, and growing up. It’s sarcastic, ironic, all too real and wildly entertaining! Some noteworthy quotes that really stood out to me: 𝘈 𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘬 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘺 𝘣𝘪𝘨 𝘕𝘦𝘸 𝘠𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘢𝘥𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦, 𝘐 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘻𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘥𝘰𝘮𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱𝘴; 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘴𝘤𝘢𝘱𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘢 𝘳𝘦𝘧𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦. My whole heart!

Compulsively readable, Dolly Alderton's EVERYTHING I KNOW ABOUT LOVE is a hit for a reason. This reads like the stories and advice your much cooler older cousin treats you with while she smudges on eyeliner and sneaks out the window at a family function. A love letter to female friendship and to the messiness of your twenties meant this was exactly the sort of book I wanted to read this summer at 24. Bonus points to me for just spending the past year in the UK and appreicating all the nuances of the Britishisms that I would argue define the magic of this memoir. An example I will turn to when I need to demonstrate the power of a personal narrative and the voice that can come through with a talented author. Such fun!

Hit close to home - lovely honest memoir!

One of my best friends loaned this book to me and I have to say it hit close to home. I am in my late 20s and am starting to see many of my friends go off into romantic relationships, wondering when I will be ready (if ever) for a serious commitment such as marriage or family. The idea of not growing up fast enough or on par with your peers creates some anxiety. This book really speaks to love and relationship in a different way. And has a lot of humor and great story telling along the way. Would recommend!
