Love this gate! It's taller and wider than other gates. It's beautiful too!

Poor latching system

I have a 40 year old gate just like the latest one I purchased the old gate locking system was just a metal u shaped clamp which locked the position of the gate. This gate has a plastic lock which is impossible to operate and difficult to move. My old gate you just slid it into position adjust the gate width place the space location mechanism in the slot and push the lock bar down. Done. This gate system you fight to slid the plastic lock off the the top bar position the gate hope to keep the gate position where you want it and fight to get the plastic lock in place and hope it holds. If this is a improvement the designer needs to try to operate this gate. Then operate a old one like I have. I’m sending it back. This company needs to go back to the old lock mechanism.

not renter-friendly in the slightest

we used the sticky tape in hopes it would come off when it needed to, but it took off chunks of our wall paint with it.. and very complicated to set up.

You ruined this gate with the cheap plastic lock

Why would you replace the metal clamp with this cheap plastic closure? It is hard to slide over and is very frustrating! Not good if you have weak or arthritis hands. I really like the dark color, but very disappointed trying to secure and lock this gate. I need to use the gates to keep my cats out of the kitchen.

Effective but leaving damage behind

I bought this for the ability to adjust to a wider opening and the height for when I am leaving my dog at home and want to keep him out of a particular area without him pushing it over. It is very effective and I’m thrilled with this aspect, however it is leaving dark round marks from the stoppers all over my railings that I am unable to remove. I’ve tried many different products including a magic eraser pad - I’m so frustrated! Help?

Not enough tension!!

I just bought this today, and I can’t get it to have enough tension! I lock the arm and everything and it just won’t hold any tension!! So stupid and not worth the money

How in the heck does this work? It won’t move because of the black plastic thing that wraps all the way around. No clamp to clamp down. The top bumpers won’t go against the doorway like the bottom ones. No directions as to how to move it back and forth! I am mad!

Needs product improvement

Bought this over a year ago would be a great product if it had larger non compressible bumpers on the sides especially at the adjusting arm end where it contacts wall.I have 3 walls that have damage as a result of not enough bumpers that contact the wall near the adjusting arm.
