Thought it would last more than a year!
Have had this vacuum for about a year and have loved it. However now the brush bar will not spin now. Thought this was going to be a vacuum to last longer than this.

Im in love with this vaccum
I bought this vacuum cleaner about 3 yrs ago before we had pets and I just wanted. A deep clean vacuum because of the popcorn ceiling our apartment has. We now own 2 indoor rabbits and Im still in love with it, cleans our hard floors and the carpets great. I was thinking if getting a new one just because one of pur rabbits bit the cord a little

Great vacuum for a great price!
I bought this vacuum a year ago and have loved it! I have 2 cats and a bunch of kids through the house all the time and it always does the best at cleaning up. I love that i can go between hard wood floors and right across area rugs and into rooms with carpet. I almost never sweep anymore as I just use this! Last week it started to have a smell like a belt was burning, then the spin brush stopped working as well as the suction from the vacuum. The suction from the hose is still super strong. I took the bottom all apart and found a small broken belt, but now kind find where it came from. Even with this issue, I think I'm just going to buy the same one again to replace it I've loved it so much.

I would not recommend this model NEU529
I was recommended this unit (NEU529) because a family member got one. A month after I got mine the person recommending it found hers had died less than 1 year old. She tried & tried to get help from Eureka and they only made excuses. Now less than a year from the date of purchase mine too had dies and I also cannot get help from Eureka. Not only would I not recommend this model, I also would not recommend Eureka as their customer service is horrific and you just cannot get them and when / if you do they only make up excuses not too help you!

Had it for 2 to 3 weeks and now brush don't work!!!!!
We:be had ours for about 2 to 3 week and it was working great now the brush won't work. I check the belt for being torn or stretched out, checked and cleaned the brush, checked the bearings but the brush still doesn't work and the lights won't come on.

2 years old and going strong
I normally don't bother with writing reviews but after reading some of the other reviews, I felt the need to add my experience. I've had this vacuum for about two years now and would definitely buy it again. I have a Golden Retriever so I deal with a lot dog hair. The main issue I have with other reviews is comments on pet hair getting entangled in the brush. Yes, this will happen to any vacuum with a brush. Very little care is needed to clean the brush. Your vacuum will last for years with very little care. Some maintenance is required on all vacuums but the vacuum will last as long as you want if you only keep it clean now and then. The "Pet Pal Turbo" attachment is also wonderful for keeping pet hair off the couch and chairs.

It DID work great...
It was one of my favorite vacuums until all of a sudden the brush roll just stopped working.
