Very sleek and heavy, it really does the job well. I did have to charge it twice before it held. So maybe when you get it, charge it up and leaving it day. But since then, it's worked beautifully. And it comes with a charging cord but NOT a brick.

Epic Fail!
I was really looking forward to upgrading our existing scale with the Etekcity model based on its added capabilities and measurements. I received the scale about 10 days after I ordered it only to find it was dead on arrival. Despite overnight charging, the scale would not power up. Before I returned the scale for an exchange, I contacted Etekcity support via email (they don't answer phone calls) to troubleshoot it, but nothing we tried worked. The small user guide that came with the scale was rather disappointing and incomplete, Etekcity support sent me a more complete manual via email that provided more complete information. Macy's customer service was great to work with. They provided a free return label to ship the defective scale back, and expedited shipment of a replacement which arrived in 4 days. The replacement scale had the exact same problem. Dead on arrival and would not charge. More emails to Etekcity support who then advised these scales will not charge with a "fast charger" USB A AC adapter connected to the providing charging cord. I tried several older standard USB A AC adapters as well as plugging the cable directly into a wall socked with a USB A connection - nothing worked. The scale was still completely dead. I processed a return through Macy's website and am now awaiting a refund on the original purchase. My understanding is this scale is no longer in production, so these scales must be old inventory that are being cleared out and replaced with newer models.
Pretty nifty
Pretty accurate, weight stays the same if I step on and off a few times, plus I like the way it sends info to my phone. Great investment.

Great scale!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This scale is super easy to use and helpful if you're trying to keep track of your weight/BMI. I like that it has an app so you can track your progress. I would definitely recommend this smart scale for anyone who wants to actively keep track of their weight.

Great scale, disappointing app
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this scale for 3 weeks and am pleased with the quality construction, consistency of the readings, and wide variety of different metrics tracked. I fully charged the scale when it arrived and even with daily use and more than one user I have not needed to charge it again and shows a nearly full battery. Setup was easy and I have had no issues connecting the scale to both wifi and bluetooth. Connection with my phone is almost immediate when I open the VeSync app used to view your health metrics on your phone. The many health metrics tracked are interesting and it's fun to see progress, but I cannot speak to the accuracy of these metrics other than weight. I have had other digital scales where the readings may vary slightly each time you step on and off the scale moments apart, however the readings on the Etekcity ES500+ are consistent every time. I have tested the scale on different types of flooring with consistent readings as well. The my only disappointment is with the VeSync app which is required if you want to connect your scale to your phone to view all your health metics with greater detail and track your progress over time. The VeSync app is a smart home app first designed to connect all your Etekcity products in one place and the health and fitness functionality seems like only a secondary feature and somewhat of an afterthought. It is full of ads and shopping features designed toward getting you to purchase more Etekcity smart home products. If you already own other Etekcity products it is nice to connect and control everything from one place, however it disappoints as a health and fitness tracking app. You are able to connect and send your data from VeSync to other apps such as Apple Health, MyFitnessPal, and Apple Health, but you still have to use the VeSync app to connect to the scale and send that data to other services rather than connecting any of those apps directly to the scale. Many health and fitness apps such as Garmin Connect and Google Fit and Samsung Health are disappointingly not included as options to connect to VeSync either. I use Garmin connect for all my other health and fitness tracking, so not being able to connect to the Garmin Connect app is the biggest negative for me.

Great Product.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this scale. It tells me so much about myself. I know I need to lose weight, that's for sure. I downloaded the app with no problem. It must be on a level surface. I really like how you can track your efforts over a long time. It charges by USB. It's pretty big. Wide. The quality is Excellent. The value is very affordable for what you get from this scale. I totally recommend to everyone.

Just wow
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never innmy life used a scale like this before and I have to say is it's truly fascinating. This smart fitness scale does so much. It's easy to set up. Just download the app and create your account there. Then follow the steps it gives you. You do not have to be computer savvy at all for this. Make sure you place the scale on a hard surface. Stand on the scale till it flashes numbers three times and then your weight will appear. Readings will be immediate. This scale is super durable and goes up to 400 pounds. It has USB charging. Perfect size as to not take up too much space. Gives you 12 essential measurements. You can sync with Apple health, Google fit, fitbit or Samsung health even. Connect to your phone via Bluetooth. The most amazing part is it tracks your efforts over weeks, months, even years. That way you can visually see your progress or when your falling back so you can get back on track. Like I said before it's an amazing product like no other I have ever seen. The quality is great and at a great value for what it does. Easy to read your results and take them with you via phone after. Super easy to keep track of your progress. Highly recommend to anyone interested in a healthier weight and lifestyle.
