My favorite color, used it year round on my toenails. Have tried lighter and darker similar colors but nothing compares to this one. Please bring back this 'retired' Splash of Grenadine!

Beautiful color. Was able to apply primer and 3 coats and it dry within of hour of applying clear top coat.

long staying on the nail. does not chip easily.
this shade is beautiful. a little too much pink for me...i used to own a salon and loved ESSIE products. There was a shade called SUNSET I think. absolutely gorgeous! I could hardly keep it in stock. one the client wore it she wanted to buy it~~ it was kind of the shade of a ripe tomato but not a RED. Do you have this ??? this was in the 80's-90's.

Perfect “naked but better” nails
I love the new color. I have very pale, cool toned skin and it’s perfect. The other nudes are either too white/tan or too sheer or not sheer enough, and this is the only one that makes my nails look “naked, but better.”

Okay color
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wasn’t a fan of this one. It takes a while to dry and the color is something a lot of people probably don’t gravitate towards love Essie just this color didn’t work

my fave essie polish!
i have a collection of essie polishes but birthday girl is easily my favourite. looks like a shimmery pink in the bottle, but comes up more champagne gold on the nails/in certain light (perhaps because i’ve had my bottle a while now?) but i love the shade. per the name, i always end up with this shade on my fingers or toes on my birthday - and for the rest of the year, it’s a shade that makes me feel super cute and feminine! i like the sheer look with two coats, and like to add a third if i want a more solid look. i’ve always worn it alone but i imagine it’d also make an amazing topper with other shades!
