Color change

A friend had an older bottle. Loved the actual gold color. Extremely disappointed that the color has changed to a rose champagne color. It's nice color just not gold colored

Name does not reflect the actual color.

Love the coverage and the sheen, BUT it is not gold. It’s much more silver than gold. Is silver “as good as gold?” You decide!

Love the Color!

I just bought this and I love it! It was so darn hard to find a blue toned red nail polish with a little sparkle in it. Most red polishes tend to be on the orange side these days, and as a silver haired woman with a pinkish toned complexion, I tend to go for cooler, blue toned makeup and polish. As a dinosaur relect from the 70's, I love my frosts and glitter. Thank you for solving my problem in Knotty Or Nice! I love it!!!!

Gorgeous Color - Chips Within a Day

I did the recommended. I put a base coat, two layers, and a top coat, and this still chips within two days tops. I'm really sad about this cause the color is GORGEOUS. But I think it might be with how they make their glitter polishes because all of them tend to chip right away. Again, beautiful color but I'm not sure what can be done to make these last. I have no issues with other essie products.

Hi there Nancydfan! We want to understand what happened just as much as you do...the blue toned red polish with glitter, "knotty or nice" should last at least a week when applied the way you have. The base coat should create better adhesion to the nail bed and the top coat should protect the color and seal the manicure. Be sure to cap the edges of the nail at each step. Horrible

I’ve been scrubbing my toe nails for the past twenty minutes with nail polish removal trying to get this off. Really disappointed considering Essie nail polish is all I usually use.

Hi there Kathryn! We can see why these results would not be what you were hoping for. The shade "making spirits bright" is a silver glitter based nail enamel. To remove a nail color with glitter, you need to soften the nail enamel holding on the bits of glitter (the glitter itself is not actually nail enamel so the remover won't soften it) Soak your cotton pad in polish remover, then allow it to sit on the nail for 30 seconds before removing. this should be long to soak around the glitter to soften the nail enamel. For particularly stubborn glitter go for 2-3 minutes and gently push the glitter away from the nail with a metal pusher or orangewood stick, similar to how you would push back cuticles.

Awesome color. Terrible durability

I took all the steps. Dry nails base, two coats topcoat. Beautiful jewelry like color. But after just one day started to chipping badly in most of the nails. Tried again making sure it was not an issue with the technique. Sadly same exact poor result :(

Hi there Sara! We want to understand what happened just as much as you do...After you’ve done a base coat, two coats of polish, and a top coat, your manicure should last for at least a week. Making sure your nail bed is clean before doing yoiur mani can be tricky. To get rid of any oils and other residue, be sure to swipe the nails with your polish remover just before doing your manicure. (avoid the temptation to touch the nails with your fingers at this point). If you would like to speak to us directly about your recent purchase, give us a call @ 866-313-7845

Looks great, for about a day...

The polish itself goes on realty thin and clumpy. I used an Essie base coat, and let my polish dry for a minimum of 30 minutes between coats. The polish smudges very easy even after "dry" and goes on thin so you need at least 3 coats to have it be a "solid" color. Am disappointed overall, just doesnt feel up to the essie standard.

Hi there Jackie! We want to understand what happened just as much as you do...We assume you shook your polish just before using. Like all our nail enamels, the "making spirits bright" should be a perfect color by the second coat. This soft, cool-toned silver glitter polish should have some texture because of the glitter, but the color results should be even. And certainly, after a few minutes, the nail enamel should be dry.
