Incorrect sizing

I purchased this in a size 24 and upon receiving and trying it on realized I needed the size 26. I returned and ordered the 26, only to have it fit even smaller than the size 24. How is that possible? Someone made an error on tagging the pants with the correct sizing. It is a well.made sturdy jeans. I've always been pleased with Eloquii pants, as they fit quite well and are well made. I cannot be bothered to reorder. So back it goes to the store and too bad!!!
