Easiest rice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm usually pretty skeptical of single-purpose tools, but I'm very happy with this rice cooker. It makes great rice, and it's super easy to use. I've steamed some green beans in the steamer basket and found them quite crisp. As I was pairing the rice and beans with rotisserie chicken, it made for a super fast meal. I do wish that the washable parts were dishwasher safe, but they are not. I also wish there was an actual "off" button so that I could leave the cooker plugged in. Instead, the cooker switches to "warm" mode when done, and must be unplugged between uses.

Cute rice cooker/steamer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This rice cooker from Elite Gourmet is PERFECT for making small amounts of rice. It's helpful for me since I tend to make too much rice when cooking on the stove. It has a feature that switches to warm when it's finished cooking. The rice turns out fluffy and most of the time it's an easy clean (gotta make sure you don't overcook it). I haven't used the steamer yet, but I look forward to it. It looks pretty straight forward.

Fast

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to learn upon reaching the instructions I can use to cook other foods besides rice! I was able to stream my veggies and rice at the same time without burning either item! It was very easy to use. It doesn't take up a bunch of space either. I would recommend this over microwave or a stove, since it is safer and faster.

Our favorite new appliance!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With a family of 4, we have to be innovative and economical with dinner. This rice cooker is awesome. Our last one left the rice crunchy, while this one cooks it quickly and evenly. Rice is something we cook often because it’s so versatile, and this appliance is a family pleaser!!

Perfect size!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve never had a rice cooker before and was super excited about getting this one. It’s surprisingly small, I’m not sure why I thought it would be bigger but honestly it’s the perfect size. It’s small enough that it doesn’t take up too much counter space but it can cook more than enough rice at a time. The first time I used it I cooked two cups of rice to serve with a stir fry. The rice was so soft and fluffy! We had enough rice left over to make some fried rice the next day. It’s super easy to use, just measure out the amount of rice you want to make and then measure out the amount of water needed and you set it to cook. It automatically switches to a warm feature as soon as the rice is ready. So you don’t need to keep an eye on it and can focus on your other cooking tasks. I’m honestly super excited about this rice cooker and it can also be used to steam vegetables. It was really easy to clean, which is great.

Good rice cooker for beginner cooks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really excited to try Elite's 6 cup rice cooker and let me just say it was nice to finally cook rice that wasn't mussy or overcooked. It's small and doesn't take up a lot of space. It comes with a steam tray, measuring cup and spoon. After using the rice cooker, I have to say it does stick a little, but it wasn't hard to clean. The instruction were slightly confusing it had different amounts of water you add either for the supplied cup or for the inside of pot using the water level. My first attempt I used the measuring cup which stated 1.5 cups of water/per rice and the rice came out soft and fluffy. The second attempt I used the water line on the inside of the pot and it was only 1 cup of water/per rice(which I didn't understand why the difference in water) and the rice was done but not as fluffy and dry/stiff. I noted that it didn't seem to make as much rice compared to on the stove. It seems the cooking time is based on the weight of the rice, it automatically switches to warm when the rice is done. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to try out the streamer so not sure how good it works. It does come with an instruction manual which gives some sample recipes for the streamer. The instructions on how to use the cooker was pretty clear. The only negative thing about the rice cooker was the inner pot outer surface/texture. It has a scratchy feel and they state that you make sure it's dry before use using a paper towel or dish cloth. It snags on whichever one you use to dry it which is a little frustrating. Based on my experience using this rice cooker and my level of cooking I would recommend it especially for beginners.
