Tiny Holes After One Washing

It's a beautiful gown with lovely detail but after one washing little holes appeared in the fabric. Embarrassing, as it was a gift to my niece.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Eileen West must have been sold.. the lace is not as nice as usual and the shoulder straps are about 4 inches longer than they should be. The fabric used is nice but I am not surprised they did not selll at regular price....too bad. it was a reliable line.

Disappointing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unfortunately, Eileen West nightgowns are not the same quality as they used to be. For some reason, they put satin on the back of the lace strap and therefore it slips off of your shoulders constantly. That being said, this gown runs huge so order one size down.

defective design for straps- fall apart

I loved loved this nightgown when I first got it. The straps have a design defect. That showed up after I washed it. The straps are made up of 2 layers. Outer layer is a beautiful wide lace. Inter layer is satin. Both layers are sew together. After I washed the nightgown per washing instructions I noticed that the satin layer in the back straps were pulling apart. I thought about having it fixed. Changed my mind due the construction of the straps. I can’t believe Eileen West used satin on the inside of the straps. I also bought this nightgown at Macy’s and the straps did the same thing. I do not recommend this nightgown. You may be able to add cotton to inside of the straps. That may give the needed reinforcement. It is really a very beautiful nightgown. I wasn’t willing to pay extra to repair a defective nightgown. Do not buy this nightgown. Unless you are willing to repair the straps. I think this going to happen to all the nightgowns. The satin isn’t strong enough.
