Pretty, but uncharacteristically unexceptional

I bought the magenta tunic. It's pretty, but the fabric is thin - like t-shirt material, and I miss the more substantial hang that most of my other EF purchases have. Still, it's comfortable and looks good with jeans so I'm keeping it. It will feel good in warmer weather. Not quite thick enough for chilly weather, even with the long sleeves. Glad to have gotten it on sale; otherwise I think I would have sent it back.

Flimsy yes but perfect for travel

I own two of these tops in black and hardly wear them at home but I am in southern Chile for four months and they are my go to tops. Elegant, flowing, easy to dress up but not necessarily dressy, warm but not hot. Perfect and they do not wrinkle. I must wear something underneath them as they are so sheer but I have become a fan and regret to bringing more. It is true that cleaning them is a bother and requires gentle hand washing but they could not be better for travel and have a youthful flow that is just great.

Lovely top

Lovely color, very light weight which I wasn’t expecting. It fit well in a medium, I’m 5’6” . I returned it because I wanted a winter top and it was way too thin a fabric..

No more tencel

I want to add my voice to the growing chorus of those who dislike the new tencel fabric. I became an Eileen fisher addict for two reasons: washable stretch crepe and viscose jersey. The former has expanded into more products, but viscose jersey has all but disappeared, replaced by the much inferior tencel jersey. It is flimsier, doesn't drape as nicely, and, importantly, doesn't wear as well. I have viscose jersey items that are several years old and still perfect. Newer tencel jersey tops have developed little holes; I'm now wearing them as pajama tops. This fabric may be sustainable or the environment, but it isn't sustainable in my wardrobe. I will not purchase another item in this fabric.

I agree completely. I love the drape and fabric of the old tops and have worn them for years. I was hoping to get some new colors. I'm now searching for a new brand.

I couldn't agree more!    I'm a very long-time EF fan (... since 1988), my wardrobe is perhaps 85% EF. Tencel is the biggest "wrong turn" the EF team has ever made.    I own several Tencel pieces, but I wear only one top because it's the only top that works with a particular outfit.   The rest are headed to charity.   For what it's worth, I miss Georgette silk!

I feel exactly the same way. I can't stand tencel. I have a few items in this fabric, but they pill horribly and don't feel good on my body. Can something else be used?? I won't buy anything in this fabric!

Flimsy fabric

I bought two of these to check sizing. I returned them both several weeks ago. Fabric is flimsy.

from Los Angeles, CA,

Cassis is nice shade

I like this tunic and it will go with all of my EF pieces. I do have an issue with the fabric. It's changed and feels thinner and not as soft as some of the Tencel jersey pieces. I think that as EF works to move towards sustainability, there are some fails along the way.

Very nice

I have been searching for an outfit for a November wedding .This was my last try. I already owned the slim crepe cassis pant adding this top completed it. I will add sparkly jewelry and silver sandals and it works. I gave it a 4 because I will not get much use out of it otherwise. As an older retiree my lifestyle is too casual and the price for Eileen is always a little prohibitive. Although I wear her clothes almost exclusively.

Great fabric, with a perfect "hang"

I always buy Medium in regular women's sizes, when I order from Eileen Fisher, but this was too big. I understand that it is supposed to drape, which I like, but at 67, I don't want to look like I'm 8 month's pregnant.......which is how it made me look! I'll try it again in a small, or in a petite size. I'm about 5-3" and 135 lbs----so if you're going to try this top, you may want to "go small."
