Happy Customer

Almost didn't buy this because of the previous review, however I am very happy with this food slicer and am glad I read other reviews from other sites. I read the instructions before I opened the product. I disassembled the product and reassembled the product ( took approx 5 minutes # before operating to get familiar with it. Very simple to use and can be broken down in less than 2 minutes to clean. Motor is not to loud and this model has all metal parts (very important for durability# self cooling motor and is very easy to use. The bolt that holds the blade in can be tighten very easily so be careful not to over tighten it. I cut 10 lbs of cheese and 10 lbs of meat in about an hour including clean up. Professional results with finish product. Great for home use. I would definitely reccomend this product. It will cut down to about a 16th of and inch and if you want the paper thin shaved cuts partially freeze your meats before slicing for about 20 minutes. It cut Monterey jack, cheddar and sharp cheddar effortlessly, paper thin to about 3/4 of and inch. You can also buy a second non serrated blade for super thin cuts but I had no problem with the stock blade and very cold ( partially frozen ) product. Definitely reccomend this meat slicer. The only thing that I would have liked to have included with this purchase is the lubricant it requires for the moving parts behind the blade.

Follow up review

I purchased the 610 slicer back in March and have used it several times. Clean up is a 5 minute process. The slicer performs very well and is all I could have asked for. After using several times I identified 2 "risk" parts, the slice separator and the blade retention screw. I could imagine either of these being misplaced or falling in my disposal...I called customer service and they sent 2 of each at no charge! Really a great product.

Difficult to reattach blade

DO NOT EVER attempt to remove the blade for cleaning as it is extremely difficult to screw in again. The blade is easliy washed from behind after unplugging the slicer. I have been trying to reattach (screw in the locking device) for 4 days now -- IT IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT.
