Needs Help

It does sharpen knives, but at a cost. A good knife/blade sharpener will smooth and polish the cutting edge. This unit takes material (too much) off the blade just like a typical grinder would. That technique works for lawn mower blades but not kitchen knives.

I purchased this sharper, I read about this project and what it could perform, well it does, puts a edge on knives like I never had before.

Good value for the money

Good value for the money. Not the best knife sharper but I would stay it is better than the manual one I had before. Easy to use.

Barely improved sharpness some worse than before

I tried on both steel and ceramic knives and the results were very disappointing and nothing near the quality of a professional sharpening. I was very eager to try this on my daughter's J.A. Henckles knives And a Kyocera Ceramic knife. Whilst this took away a decent amount of metal and eliminated any nicks that may have been caused by being dumped in the sink with dishes for a few years the Henckels knives were barely better after 5 complete rounds and the ceramic knife was definitely worse.

Waste of time

I was looking for a simple knife sharpener, this was on sale, the reviews were good, but, not for me...it’s loud, takes up room in my kitchen, needs to plug in, doesn’t sharpen my knives like my old one, I’m simply looking for a small easy to use knife sharpener, I’m returning ,

Works as intended

Very happy with my purchase. The device seems sturdy as it’s a little heavy. I turned it on and tried it as soon as it arrived. It is loud as the sharpener is like a saw. So you need to follow directions to get a good sharpen on your knives. The sharpener worked great.
