Here is the novel that will be forever considered a triumph of the imagination. Set on the desert planet Arrakis, Dune is the story of the boy Paul Atreides, who would become the mysterious man known as Muad'Dib. He would avenge the traitorous plot against his noble family and would bring to fruition humankind's most ancient and unattainable dream. A stunning blend of adventure and mysticism, environmentalism and politics, Dune won the first Nebula Award for Best Novel, shared the Hugo Award, and formed the basis of what it undoubtedly the grandest epic in science fiction. Dune is one of Barnes & Noble's Collectible Editions classics. Each volume features authoritative texts by the world's greatest authors in an exquisitely designed bonded-leather binding, with distinctive gilt edging and a silk-ribbon bookmark. Decorative, durable, and collectible, these books offer hours of pleasure to readers young and old and are an indispensable cornerstone for every home library.

Pretty crazy there are this many errors

As many have stated, wild amount of incorrect words &spelling errors. Book itself will look nice on your shelf.

Amazing Story & Collectible!

This was my first of the Barnes & Noble collectible editions, and I hope that it's not the last! The book is absolutely beautiful and totally worth the price. All three books are inside which is convenient, there's a bookmark built into the book, and it's an amazing read. The narration is slightly confusing at times, but once you get into it it's an amazing book.

Incredible book, but the most typos I've ever seen

This design of this hardcover book is beautiful. The book itself, a classic and must read. However, it had the most typos I have ever seen in a book. It was distracting in some instances because you would see a few typos on the same page. Just took away from the experience a little. If you like hardcover editions, I would recommend getting a different one.

Definitely recommend to any dedicated book lover

It didn’t meet the original expected delivery date but I blame that on holiday chaos. Took about an extra week or so. It arrived undamaged and in beautiful condition so was well worth the wait. The print is a nice size, the detail on the covers is beautiful, and I haven’t noticed any spelling errors so far. A beautiful addition to any bookshelf.

Great book - Bad Print (Typos Remain)

I saw older reviews noting issues with the typos but thought maybe they had been corrected. Nope. The book was on backorder so I am pretty sure I got a 'new' printing and it had the same issues other have noted. Rather than read to find them I google searched some key typos others had found 4 years ago and yep, they are still in the new printing. - Shame on B&N, I'll be returning this copy and I'm glad I checked before reading in full. - For example on page 398 line 5 the word 'like' is 'Eke', an obvious OCR issue that was never corrected.

The bonded leather won't last.

It's unfortunate that Barned And Noble decided to use bonded leather for the binding of this book. The book looks beautiful but the binding will start falling apart after a little bit, they should have used real leather, even if it was low quality leather it would have been better than this.

Great book, beautiful, so many typos….

Dune is one of the best sci-fi books. This edition is beautiful. However, I have never encountered so many typos in a book. The typos are unique to this version.
