Beautiful BUT!!!

I purchased 2 Donna Karan dresses online and both dresses were missing the belt that comes with it. This only happens when I am purchasing Donna Karan dresses from Macys.

Very bulky

This dress looks gorgeous on the model. Most of us don't have model figures, but with its beautiful print and feminine draping at the hips, this dress had the potential to flatter many body types. At 5'5", 135 lbs, size 6, I thought I had a shot. In reality, the shoulder pads were overwhelming and the draping looked very bulky, yielding a very unflattering shape. Like other reviewers mentioned, the material is heavy. Perhaps it would have looked nicer in a lightweight chiffon-like material, with no shoulder pads. Alas, it was returned.

This dress is gorgeous!

Let's start with the cons first: this dress has a lot going on. It does have shoulder pads which I love on this dress but for people not looking to make their shoulders appear bigger, you might want to remove the shoulder pads or order something else. The slit at the neck goes a little too deep for work so I wore a bandeau bra underneath. There is a hidden slit in the front of the skirt part of the dress which makes it very easy to walk in. The dress is a little on the heavy side as there is a lot of fabric and the material is very nice. Also I'm not a HUGE fan of the belt this came with but I could sub in a new belt. Now for the pros: This dress is very unique, perfect for fall. Looks great with stilettos and knee high boots. You could also add a cardigan or blazer. Also did I mention that it HAS POCKETS!!! yay! I would definitely recommend this dress. I am 5'8" 130 lbs, 28" waist and 34" bust and a size 2 fits perfectly! Buy this dress!
