Where did the hole come from

Nice pants and I would love to have given it 5 stars however when I wore them I found a small hole right below the zipper area. Where in the world did that come from were my thoughts. There's a nice stretch in the waist and thigh area. The length is nice as well. Not recommending because of the HOLE.
