It is defective

I love the dress, but it had a hole in the shoulder. I wanted to buy again the same dress, but now I am hesitant because It is final sale and the dress has a hole in the shoulder. If it is defective (a hole in the shoulder) I do not understand why I can not return it. Please explain. I do not how to upload a photo of the dress, but I can take it to the Macy's store to show it to you. Is the Macys in the Okemos store still open?
