A Welcome Challenge

I needed a gift for a very bright soon to be 6 year old boy. Although this said for 8 and up, I figured my little friend would be able to use this, since it needs parental participation anyway. The price was really good, too. I feel this will be a welcome challenge for a very bright 6 year old.!

Dangerous! Plastic container melted!

Followed directions & used boiling water. The plastic for the grow containers melted!! This product is very dangerous!

Melted Plastic

Directions said to boil the water and place in plastic container. I followed the directions exactly and the container melted. Beyond disappointed and lucky I didn't have a scalded kid!!

Followed instructions and some rocks did not form and other broke when I touched them.

My niece love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My niece loved using this! I definitely had to watch and help out the whole time. It is pretty advanced, but we had a great time. I would definitely recommend others to buy this for any kid interested in science.

fun family project!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had so much fun with this project! Everyone from our 4 year old to our 17 year old was interested. The instructions were easy. It felt like we were doing real science, which I guess we were! Makes an awesome nightlight, and my 4 year old thinks its so cool that she grew the crystals herself!
