Hurt people hurt people. Say there was a novel in which Holden Caulfield was an alcoholic and Lolita was a photographer's assistant and, somehow, they met in Bright Lights, Big City. He's blinded by love. She by ambition. Diary of an Oxygen Thief is an honest, hilarious, and heartrending novel, but above all, a very realistic account of what we do to each other and what we allow to have done to us.

*PLEASS READ BEFORE BUYING*

If you hate extra details or a long story, this isn’t for you. This book isn’t for everyone, especially if you’re offended of the author venting about how he played those women. *Please note that the person later regrets and that many people (not just men) do these things daily. Don’t believe me? The author later talks why he does it, also another woman will be mentioned that has the same problem. The book gets straight to point in the beginning before he starts to rant his life in America. **FOR AMERICANS!!! The author is British and he is not saying the word (ESPECIALLY IF YOUR LISTENING TO THE AUDIO BOOK), he’s talking about underwear. Flats are apartments and leaf tools or whatever he calls them are leaf blowers. I recommend this book deeply, but not to a friend. My friends are way too sensitive about some topics so this is your trigger warning for what happens. It may fit in the ROMANCE section but trust me, this is NOT a romantic story.

Honest review

To all the comments that say the main character is horrible and the book has so many useless comments … This book is called DIARY OF AN OXYGEN THEIF From the name of the book you know the main character is gonna be a horrible person and it’s gonna be about his life. Anyone talking in a diary is just gonna be them ranting and talking from their point of view. I personally really like the book. You get to see how another person thinks and why he thinks the way he does. Yea the main character is a bad dude but that’s what is so interesting about him. If you like psychology then I’d for sure recommend this book!

Not worth it but I’m glad I read it

It’s a very interesting yet disturbing storyline. I liked the first few pages, but then it seemed repetitive and fast paced yet very dragged on? Unsatisfying ending as well.

I just can't get through the book

The main character is a condescending narcissist who only rambles about his accomplishments, female victims, or parts of his life that no one cares about. It's super annoying and hypocritical the way he treats his love interest. However, that's the whole point of the book , as well as his character, so I'm not gonna one star it
