Love this beautiful large pot! New favorite!

I am so happy I bought this pot! Lighter, and larger, than my Le Creuset (with a 28 on the bottom- I think that is 7.25 quarts?) Cooked Coq au Vin in it, very large surface area for browning the chicken - 6 full legs fit and no overlapping. Cleans up like a dream. I am slowly converting my cookware over to Demeyere everything!

This 8.9-qt. a perfect dutch oven size is not too small nor too big for my daily cooking needs. Ample room for cooking large batches of casserole, stew, sauces, and cooking grains such as rice. Great for making broth and soups, and can be used for deep frying, and an excellent pot for braising meat. Copper disk ensures impressive heat conduction, and even heat distribution. Proprietary technology ensures the base stays flat even when heated, and will not warp. It is to last a lifetime investment. I've had a variety of stainless steel pans, Atlantis is one of my favorite cookware. The best stainless steel out on the market. Safe for heavy metal kitchen tools, and extremely scratch-resistant. However, the keyword is “resistant” so, with enough force, anything can cause scratches. Therefore, wood and silicone kitchen tools are recommended. Highly recommended handwashing, preventing from the dishwasher's detergent abrasiveness and from any damage-causing from bumping into hard and pointy stuff during the wash. One of the best stainless steel cream cleanser I can recommend is Bar Keeper's friend, it is easy to clean pot; just soak with water and soap and use a sponge to remove food residue.

Perfect cooking vessel for chili, stews, braising, pot roast and chickens. Demeyere cookware is the best of the best. Each size and shape of the vessel is manufactured for optimal performance. Sauce pans and other straight sided pots are heavier on the bottom than the sides for maximum heat retention,flat bottoms for even cooking over the entire surface and rolled rims for dripless pouring. Fry pans and other conical pots have thicker bottoms and substantial sides to create maximum cooking throughout the pan. Stay cool handles, beautiful finish and no rivets only adds to the value of these pots making them an essential addition to your kitchen.
