Poor quality materials make this shelf unusable.

I was not even able to attempt to attach this shelf to my wall because I couldn't even screw in the screws to the bottom piece of "wood." The particle board material was so cheap that the screws wouldn't screw in, so the hooks would not stay on the board. You wouldn't even be able to hang a child's coat on these hooks. After attempting to tighten the screws, I was able to pull the hooks out with my fingers... When I called to return it, I was offered a new one with the promise that the quality would be better, but that was not the case. I was sent the exact same product with the exact same issues....I would not recommend this product to anyone.
