Stiff not flattering on people who are not tiny

I really wanted to love this and the dot print puff sleeve top, but it was just not right. I thought that it would look cute on, but the material was stiff and made my shoulders look massive. I'm not a small person so I was huge. The white looked like chef hats on my arms and I had no idea what to pair it with. From far away looked like weird tshirt material. I returned.

TOO PUFT

I'm no stranger to a puff sleeve, but this is a PUFF sleeve. I really didn't love the fabric on this, and while the style looks super cute on Danielle, the combination of the cropped/boxy cut and the puff sleeves made me look like a linebacker. I tried to create some shape with the cinch, but also had a really hard time getting the ties to stay tied and the puff sleeves to stay puft, but honestly that probably wasn't a bad thing because they are massive. Sort of felt like I had two chef's hats as sleeves. Unfortunately this one and the matching shorts are going back.
