Compact Solution

Bought this to replace a not very old blender from the same line. The sturdy glass jar is the main factor for sticking with the same product and also the relatively compact footprint given current trends in blenders. While the power is the same as the previous purchase (500 watts), this motor is noisier, but it does the job satisfactorily. The food processor has full functionality. Although not a full size food processor, it is adequate for my needs. I look forward to long lasting use.

Dynamic duo!

I really love the versatility of having a blender and a food processor all in one product. Both of them operate with seamless and effortless power. They are also easy to clean and have a nice aesthetic. A great price tag also!

Meets/Exceeds Cuisinart's Stellar Standards

I own several Cuisanart products: coffee maker, toaster, food processor (yup, the original DL that's now 43 years old, and runs like the proverbial top! was a wedding present in 1980). It took me a minute to figure out how the "PULSE" feature operates - I'm lazy about reading directions. Everything about this product meets Cuisinart standards. Logical, easy to clean, smart design. Get one.

Great Blender

Great blender. The food processor is good for small chopping or shredding jobs. The glass jars are superior to the plastic ones that other brands use.

Happy with my new blender

So far I am very happy with my new Cuisinart SmartPower Duet 500 Watt Blender, but I have not used the attached food processor yet. I have made smoothies and have done some other regular cooking jobs, but generally do not use a blender to crush ice, since my refrigerator/freezer does that. It is also much lighter than the old blender I was replacing, so it is much easier for me to get it in and out of its storage cabinet. That is a plus! I have been washing all parts by hand, and have had no problems. Happy so far! I would buy this product again.
