Great for an absolute newbie
I am so delighted with my first-ever sewing machine. It’s intuitive, easy to use and has lots of options that make starting out accessible instead of overwhelming, and it’s both sturdy and light enough to transport to the sewing classes that’ve helped me best understand the scope of projects it can churn out. The self-threader alone is a gift that keeps on giving, but this sewing machine also comes loaded with all kinds of tools and pieces that help make building on foundational skills even more immediately within reach.

Great for this all purpose spine patient!
I’ve made quilted bibs, patched a shirt, and two Christmas stocking liners so far! I used some of the embroidery overcast stitches on the quilt square hems and things just for fun. This is my very first ever, new sewing machine, and I received it for Christmas. I love it honestly. It’s so quiet, the top loading bobbin and auto needle threader are tremendously helpful to my neck, which has a fusion in it. I love the built in cutters on the machine so you can reach for your scissors less. Changing feet is SO EASY, you literally just set the thing down into the groove. The stitch guide I found, I printed, and it’s super helpful for knowing which foot to use etc.

Pathetic Experience from brother
The machine parts are not available. Have to garbage the machine that got bought. Pathetic experience, the brother support did not even help and disconnected the chat. Will never buy any brother product in future.

It is almost impossible to see the screen display.
I hate absence of light on the screen. Light is TOO low in general. I The machine works very well BUT it is difficult to see what's going on specially with the setting. The screen has NO LIGHT. I hate it so much.

Concerns with the company.
This is my second brother machine the first one which is very similar to this purchase had issues with the tension. But I had used it for years, and was pleased to purchase another one until I had issues with the company, not granting me the warranty because of misinformation, which they still have not resolved. Consequently, until resolved, I have only used the new machine a few times. It does have the same problems with threading the needle, but to give an accurate evaluation. I would need to use it more. Still waiting for the company to resolve the warranty issue from data purchase. So far all I’ve received is one email in four months From them.
