Not what I wanted

Returning these boots because they run small and kind of narrow.

Why these are my fav...

I love these. I bought the 8.5 Olive. I'm a size 7.5 in high heels, and 8 in flats, and usually like to go 8.5 in boots to accommodate thick socks for snow... but because the style is already a little chunky, the 8.5 makes my feet look too big in relation to my 5'6" frame (and they have about 1" of room past my toes so I can afford to go down in size). So I'm returning for my usual size 8. Regarding the shaft, I have slender legs so they do have a gap but I think it's cute - I mean it's sort of the style for rain-boots; the gap ends up looking casual and dowdy in a cute way. They have a short zipper down near the ankle which allows room for my feet with thick socks get down into the foot portion much easier. Lastly: because they have a thick sole, they ended up being warmer than the other winter boots I'd ordered, because they lift your feet higher off of the cold ground. My favorite boots this season... and if they'd been on sale I'd have bought additional colors. <3
