Not the same quality shoe

I got the Chuck Taylor All-Star classic two years ago. This is a comparable shoe. The shoe quality is less. The cut of the canvas was terrible. There were wrinkles and folds in my shoe. The canvas quality is also less. I will return these shoes. Never again will I Buy my beloved Chuck Taylors classic or canvas.

Loving the wide size

Classic! I love that I can get these in wide sizes now. I normally wear a 8.5 4E wide mens and the 8.5 Wide Chucks fit great! Nice for a casual, comfy, summer shoe. The canvas keeps your feet cool. The sole is a bit soft so I wouldn't recommend these for walking on a gravel trail or hiking. Great for around town.

Disappointed, an obvious change in fit

Disappointed, an obvious change in fit. I've worn this shoe since the 80's and have replaced them regularly because I love the look and fit of Converse. This new pair I have is just off. The size is fine but the width and over all fit is off! If this is the new Chuck Taylor All Star it just might be my last pair.

Reconsider

Not sure what the deal is since I always have a great experience with the black high tops in a wide width but these are incredibly uncomfortable. I’ll probably give them away. I wish they sold the wide sizes in store so you could at least try them on. Oh well.

Nice looking and cozy, but poorly made

My daughter loved these shoes, but after about 5 months a hole tore in the side of the material. For as much as they cost that should not have happened. Poorly made material, which surprised me.
