Annoying Squeak

I’ve had these for a year now and they started squeaking a few months in. And I barely wear them. At most just on weekends. I finally got annoyed enough to try and resolve it to find it’s not possible. So I’m sharing the experience for others. The squeak is coming from below the innermost layer below the insoles (sown in cloth). It’s mainly just the left shoe but both have it.

Sturdywaterproof hiking boot in smaller mens size.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These boots were a second choce for me, but I'm really happy with them. They cost more than my first choice selection, but promise to be waterproof, which the old ones were not at all. So far they are a decent hiking boot. They are supportive and sturdy and are more waterproof than my older Columbias. It remains to be seen how that holds up in really wet weather. I'm a female but prefer men's hiking boots as they are a bit roomier so its nice this model comes in smaller sizes.
