The Coleman Montana 6-Person Camping Tent with the extended awning is well-built and very sturdy, with the added bonus of the extended awning providing extra protection from the elements. It’s easy to set up, and the awning is a nice touch for storing gear outside the tent to provide some protection from the elements. However, I will say that the tent feels a bit cramped when you're trying to fit six people inside, especially if you’re using air mattresses. While it's advertised as a 6-person tent, it's a tight squeeze with mattresses taking up most of the floor space. If you're planning to use air mattresses, I’d recommend it for 4-5 people at most for a more comfortable experience. Despite this, the tent has great ventilation and weather resistance, and I’m happy with the overall value for the price. Perfect for smaller groups or families, but just keep the air mattress space in mind!

Poles suck
The piles only last the first year. Ours broke this year and bought it 2022. We didn't use it in 2023 and this year three of them snapped. Bad product.

Poor quality, isn't what it use to be.
After 3 camping trips the awning pole snapped with a little wind on a beach trip and ripped the fabric where the pole goes through. Couldn't sleep do to the awning flapping all night. Very poor quality.

Great tent
I have one that I have had for past 8-10 years and take it to camping spots all over the Mountain west. Roomy and functional - better than my past tents. One thing that drove it to me is center height where I can stand up rather than stooping while getting out of bed. Mine is red but otherwise same.

Puddles of water needs larger rain fly
Puddles of water formed in tent while camping in Yellowstone. We had all the lines tied and tightened, but seemed like it came from any rain that got on the side of the tent because the rain fly only covers the top. The bottom was very waterproof, enough to hold the water inside until we dumped it! Coleman needs to learn that rain can fall diagonally and make a larger rain fly.

Great tent!
Great tent ! Needs two to put it up, but stayed dry during rain and wind, as long as nothing touched the tent, from the inside or outside (which is normal).
