they feel cheap- the grinds are barely adjustable and the salt leaves salt under wherever it has been -

Not really adjustable.

It says adjustable grind but it’s not obvious how to do that. Tightening the thing at the top makes it impossible to grind anything. Loosening it lets the assembly come apart. I don’t see any other adjustments.

Disappointing purchase

It appears the salt and pepper can only be ground to a very fine, almost powder-like consistency. Most likely be returning the product. Also, instructions for refilling or use were not included in the packaging.
