Beautiful mosaic pattern

It is a beautiful mosaic pattern but it is much thinner than i thought. I bought new furniture and needed a pop of color. It arrived folded up like an accordion. When i layed it down on the floor, the folds didn't unfold. The next morning it was still a crumbled mess. I told the furniture expert about my experience and he told me to turn it upside down and walk on it. Two weeks later it has unfolded somewhat but still won't lay flat on the floor. Im considering returning it.
