Lightest and strongest option

By far the lightest and strongest hard-sided bag out there -- I did the research. With airlines increasingly enforcing weight limits on checked bags, and the fact that we frequently travel on small planes to remote locations, this bag maximises the payload fo suitcase ratio! Other brands weigh in 2 to three times as much at this size.

Great aesthetic and durability

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My partner got me a suitcase for Christmas, so I did a TON of research and landed on two Hartmann suitcases, a Samsonite, and a Rimowa. The Rimowa was so much heavier, one of the Hartmann suitcases was too fancy for our vibe, and the Samsonite had meh interior lining. This puppy was the final selection and we are SO glad!! It has a great aesthetic and the durability appears to be there. Unfortunately, we're locked out of the suitcases and have yet to travel for a long period because of COVID, but we're SO excited to use these bags, take them around the world, and country.

BEST OF THE BEST

Having purchased numerous pieces of luggage and had wheels snap off, scuffs and other damaging incidences during air travel I went ahead and purchased this. The price is robust, you definitely pay for what you get here though. I can say this is my last purchase of luggage. It is rugged and cannot be scuffed, marked or damaged from what I can see so far. It is not a typical Hartmann inside; nothing fancy. Scuffs literally wipe off with a mild cleanser. It rolls quickly and easily and bottom line it IS the best of the best. Highly highly recommended.

unfortunate

these look great but they unfortunately broke during their first roundtrip. On the first leg of the trip, a chunk of the hard shell came off the luggage. On the return trip, the luggage came off the carousel with a broken zipper, the insides totally exposed, and a dent on one side. It was a miracle nothing went missing. Hartmann is owned by Samsonite. It's shocking they did not do the R&D on this product that it can't survive the checked luggage carousel/
