perfect!
I have had this desk for over 3 years now and it’s holding up perfectly! It does not have a keyboard tray, it’s a drawer instead which is very handy. I use a laptop anyway. Still looks very nice and is extremely sturdy and heavy!

No keyboard tray
The desk is attractive, but it advertises as having a keyboard tray. In reality the front of what is a drawer is not hinged so I have to do a Mickey Mouse adaptation of putting a book in the drawer to bring the keyboard up to an even level with the lip of the drawer.

Veryy professional, stately and sturdy Desk
I love my new desk! I have had it for over a year now and it is very elegant and sturdy. Just what I wanted. I also got the matching bookcase and so glad I did. Together they really make a nice office. I would recommend having it delivered and receiving the "white glove" service. I made sure I ordered that because the desk was to be on the second floor. The delivery folks made sure everything was removed, like the bar and I was happy with the delivery. The also removed all the shipping materials and left me a happy customer! Don't hesitate. If you like the look, you will love it in person.

Buyer need to remove parts to use desk
My Caruth Desk was delivered today. After removing all the cardboard and Styrofoam I discovered there’s a bar across the knee hole. You’re unable to put your legs or a chair under the desk, making it virtually useless. The attached pictures show the bar. It’s made of wood and finished like the rest of the desk. It looks like it’s an intentional part of the design. In order to use the desk it has to be removed, but to do so you need to lay on the floor and unscrew the 4 inset screws. Something I’m unable to do, that’s why I made sure to buy a desk that was “fully assembled”. It never occurred to me that I would have to disassemble the desk in order to use it. Since I’m unable to unscrew the bar myself and have no one to do it for me, I’m going to have to lift my legs over the bar every time I sit at the desk. Macy’s probably didn’t know the desk, as delivered, was unusable but the manufacture Homelegance sure did. They also sell this desk under the name “Frazier Park”. Beware
