Took a few weeks, but love it now!
I purchased the shoes after reading the reviews and thought I'd be one of the lucky ones not having an issue with the shoes being hard to get on my feet. After all, I've NEVER had that problem when purchasing any size 7 shoe. Well, there's always a first time! LOL. There's no "give" to the top of the shoe opening which does make it extremely hard to put the shoe on your foot. Knowing how much better the CLARK brand is than this, I did what I could to stretch the shoe, as well as wear it, to break it in a bit. Over several wearings (and manual stretching), the shoe is finally comfortable and is so much easier to put on and off. I know this may seem like a lot of work, but it really wasn't to have a comfortable shoe that looks GREAT! Love the look and feel of this shoe!

Comfortable Shoes
These shoes are comfortable with a wide toe box. I ordered a half size bigger than my normal size and they fit great. They will be good for rainy weather both here in CA and east coast as they cover the top of my foot. Great for walking on east coast too.

Comfortable walking shoes; a bit hard to put on
These are comfortable and sturdy as expected from Clarks shoes. My only quibble is they are a bit hard to put on my feet. A zipper would help. Or a shoehorn. This may improve with time as the leather becomes more flexible.
