#1 New York Times best seller! Booklist Editors' Choice 2015 - Youth! Named a "Best Book of 2015" by Time Magazine, School Library Journal, Barnes & Noble, NPR, PopSugar, The Millions, and The News & Observer! Simon Snow is the worst Chosen One who's ever been chosen. That's what his roommate, Baz, says. And Baz might be evil and a vampire and a complete git, but he's probably right. Half the time, Simon can't even make his wand work, and the other half, he starts something on fire. His mentor's avoiding him, his girlfriend broke up with him, and there's a magic-eating monster running around, wearing Simon's face. Baz would be having a field day with all this, if he were here - it's their last year at the Watford School of Magicks, and Simon's infuriating nemesis didn't even bother to show up. Carry On is a ghost story, a love story and a mystery. It has just as much kissing and talking as you'd expect from a Rainbow Rowell story - but far, far more monsters.

10/10 read!!!

I didn't intend on picking this book up but the cover drew me in. It's a genuinely sweet book with an interesting plot and the most unexpected twist! I read it in a weekend and I couldn't put it down. Simon and Baz's relationship is so sweet and they banter well. Can't wait to read the next book!

Delightful fantasy read!

A delightful read from the very beginning when you first see Watford through Simon’s eyes. As the POV shifts to other characters for their feelings and insights, you can’t help but keep turning pages. I love Ch 61 when it just keeps switching the POV between Simon and Baz. (BTW, I love Baz more than Simon.)

Don't waste your time!

This book is a classic case of white woman writes her mlm fanfiction into a book. Very superficial and overall not good story. It seems like something an 8 year old may read but even then... There are so many better mlm fantasy books, especially those written by queer men. She had problems with her Eleanor and Park book and these problems 100% carry over here as well.

So Much Fun!!

I love the spoofing of the Potterheads and the whole genre of kid magicians. Fast-paced, irreverent, fun--what a great read!

A Wildly Good Time

I bought this for the beach, and I was so excited that I started it a week early. ‘Carry On’ is a perfect book for Harry Potter fans, or just fans of Chosen Ones. The characters are fantastic and the magic system is unique. Come for the magic, stay for the dialogue. This book is a wildly good time!

Absolutely amazing book!

I first saw this book in my school’s library, it had the original cover (two side profiles, yellow and blue) and, as awful as it may be, I judged the book by the cover and never picked it up. After a while though, I had read just one of Rowell’s books (Eleanor and Park) and I just had to read more by her. So, I picked up Carry On, checked it out, read a few pages, and I was hooked. I’ve got to say this is one of my personal favorites and I absolutely love the plot and all of its twists and turns and messes. I agree with Booklist, “-this one begs to be reread.”
