Easy and Wow
My R6 Mll arrived a week before we traveled out west on vacation. I was concerned the ramp up to get familiar with the the camera to take great photos would be a timely learning curve. Not so much. I'm still learning my way around the camera after coming from another brand but the dials and menu is getting more familiar. One of the biggest surprises was the PANO options for the photos. It was simple to use and I was able to capture some incredible landscapes the in full view. The video is clean but I would still recommend a tripod when using that function. But overall, wow. Even taken photo in low light are incredible.

One awesome kit!
Recently purchased this kit and I have to say this kit goes WAY beyond my expectations and hopes for a great, full-frame hybrid camera. I'm still figuring the camera out as far as its capabilities and how I want it set up for how I expect to use it, and I am blown away at what this camera and lens can do. It's nothing short of amazing, and I highly recommend it to everyone.

I bought this camera and the lens as well. You can't go wrong with this package. Canon home run! It is not a camera for beginners, at least if they are go higher for next level. I am happy, good quality, good performance.

Next level in enthusiast mirrorless full frame technology
Initial impressions after 3 days ownership. Been years since I've had a powerful camera - like before DSLR and back in SLR days. I know the bare minimum about photography but I did a ton of research before committing to an R6 and I believe I got the best camera for the money available today especially considering this RF L series lens which is as close as I am getting to a pro lens. So far I've only been shooting in manual, manual shutter, single shot with AF so I can slowly learn about the camera from feedback. I shoot RAW to one card and JPEG to the other so I can look at the raw and see where I am at. Highly recommend watching Jaren Polin's YouTube setup video on this camera. The exposure meter is an incredible tool and I'm learning that anything in the "zone" is good and I have to trust what I'm seeing and the composition rather than dialing ISO or shutter always near the middle. Much to learn but I can't, at this point, dispute all the positives I've heard about this camera in my research.

Amazingly capable and versatile camera.
Great all around camera. Sharp images, smooth video, and incredibly versatile. My last camera was a trusty 50D, but this thing is not just on a different level, it is on a different planet. The camera itself and the menu systems are familiar resulting in a fairly easy transition to the newer system.

Delay shutter and miss capturing important moments again
This is an update regarding my previous review where I discussed the problem of missing important moments due to a delay in the shutter. I recently acquired another brand new R6 Mark II, and to my surprise, I encountered the exact same issue once again. However, I have finally discovered a SOLUTION that resolves this problem. By disabling Image Review in Option 3, the camera operates flawlessly when capturing images using the LCD. It appears that some individuals who gave couple thumbs down my previous review may not have fully understood the issue I was describing (they probably turned off the Image Review). I hope that my review will prompt the Canon Engineering Team to reevaluate the situation and promptly release a firmware update to address this issue. Thank you.
