The dress fits true to size, however, I am larger in the chest (38) so I had to order a 14 (I have to tailor the hips)...Did not realize the cape is attached by the zipper in the back. Otherwise, fits beautifully and very elegant - I wore with strappy heeled sandals.
Dirty Dress
This is a beautiful dress and I was so excited when the UPS driver rang my doorbell! I immediately opened the box and was met with a foul odor coming from the box. The dress was in an unopened plastic bag, balled up. (I knew something was wrong with the way the dress was packaged.) But, I kept my hopes up. Upon examing the dress I notice white streaks on the front of the dress. Upon further examining the dress, I checked the underarms and that's where the smell was coming from! Both underarms of the dress were coated with white stuff that looked liked old deodorant! I immediately placed the dress back in the plastic bag and shut the box. I couldn't take the smell! Needless to say, I was shocked and very disappointed! A Calvin Klien $150 dress sent to me smelling of body odor with caked up deodorant under each arm of the dress. What happened Macy's? I immediately call Macy's.com and asked to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor was apologetic, immediately put in an order for another dress to be delivered to me. Other than that, she offered no other compensation for my disappointment and for me to have to drive to UPS to have the dirty dress sent back. I had to ask. She was, however, very nice to speak to.
Stunning From the Front - Not As Much From Behind
This dress has an overall elegant appearance and feel. It is well constructed and fits true-to-size however, there is one major flaw in my opinion - the sheer cape is attached to the body of the dress all the way down the center seam in back, adjacent to the zipper. To some, this may be a good feature as it ensures that the cape stays in place to cover your rear end. To me, it upsets the flowy nature of the dress as it follows the curvature of your backside. To have the best of both worlds, a cape that stays down yet is flowy all around, I will look for a dress with a free-flowing slightly heavier chiffon cape that won't be as proned to fly up with every small gust of wind.
So elegant
I was thrilled with this dress. I plan on taking it with me on a cruise. It can be dressed up or down which gives me several choices. It is a true to size fit.

I was so excited to receive this little black dress in the mail. I thought it would very chic for my company party. The dress does look nice on the only thing is the cape is very Sheer! It looks a lot more soild online.
