LOVE this pan!! I have had other pans of this brand for 15+ years and every time I get a new one I fall in love all over again! Love how big this one is -- perfect for a big dinner or meal prepping a weeks worth of breakfast!!

Brand hierarchy poorly designed/defined

It’s not clear of the quality of product you are buying. The brand hierarchy is not well defined or differentiated. I’m sure the pan will do fine but the perception of material quality is subjective when purchasing off the web. The gauge thickness of this pan was thinner then the other product on my order. There are also gaps in the product offering that limits consumer product loyalty. Be better, not cheaper, Calphalon

Repeat Purchase

This is my second of the same pan. The first lasted for about 5 years and still looks good but we aren’t careful about using utensils that won’t scratch. I was very happy to find this replacement.

Calphalon 5qt saute pan with lid

Just love this saute pan. It will definitely get lots of use in my kitchen. I wish that the lid and handles were made of material other than metal as have to use potholders with this new pan. That is my only complaint. Possibly metal was used for these parts to save on the cost of production, which does not affect the super cooking use of this pan.

Aspiring chefs must have!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the most durable and well made pan I have ever owned! I love how versatile it is for both stovetop and oven use. It heats very evenly which is a game changer. I have used this every other day since I got it. It’s also very easy to clean!

Not the same

I was replacing this exact model of sautée pan that I had purchased about 5 years ago. Calphalon 5005. They have cheapened this pan in the extreme. It is a discount store weight pan now. Don’t bother, go to Walmart and get a cheap one. Same as this one now. Was a good pan, but they are now living on past reputation. Walls and bottom are thinner and what used to be a solid handle is now hollow. Not as deep as it used to be. See photos. Sending back.
