I had high hopes for this book but I found her writing style to be confusing she would start talking about anxiety and then go off with analogies but they were not relatable or normal analogies that people with anxiety deal with. I love humor but it was over kill in this book and could have been half the length if she actually stayed on track. Not worth it.

Great but not the best :)
I picked this book up because I wanted to start reading self help books, I think it was a good start and overall was a good read. I have read a decent amount of books in the past (mostly fantasy) and this is one book I really enjoyed it. Some things in the book I feel like I couldn't use in my daily life, but most of the things in the book I could see myself using. Great read :)

Unreadable Because of the Unnecessary Politics
I was excited to read this book and had high hopes that it would offer some helpful tips for dealing with my anxiety. I only got a few pages into it and had to stop reading. I'm not sure why the author felt the need to throw insults towards the president and his voters. The world is polarized enough as it is, and this book should aim to help people regardless of their political views. Instead the author chose to alienate half of her potential readers. I'm definitely not taking life advice from someone who makes immature attacks on those she doesn't agree with.

Not for me
Thank you to NetGalley and Little, Brown and Co. for approving my request to read and review Calm the F*ck Down by Sarah Knight. I'm not sure what I was expecting when I began this book. This is the first book I've read by this author, I found humor among the advice on how to accept what you can't control and how to deal with these things. I enjoyed the author's sense of humor but found myself scanning the pages more than actually reading them. I felt that there was too much "fluff" added to fill space. Which is unfortunate because I had hoped for more from this book because of the author's hype from previous books.
