Fantastic, beautiful teak chairs.

Gorgeous, solid, comfortable chairs. The Macy's website doesn't say if they have any kind of finish on them (sealer, teak oil, etc.) so the first time it rained, the water didn't bead up on them so I sealed them with Semco teak sealer. Really enhanced the color and wood grain and (hopefully) will protect them from the elements. We will enjoy these chairs (and the teak table we also purchased from Macy's), for a long time. Great job Macy's.

Very well made and durable

We've owned our Bristol teak set for 10 years in Northern California. Structurally all the pieces are still solid and the surfaces are smooth and uncracked. Most years we have covered the set during winter months, but otherwise it's been exposed. We've alternated between letting them go natural gray and using teak oil for wood tone. Mostly a matter of taste. (Highly recommended: a couple of coats of Cetol marine wood preservative, which lasts 2-3 times longer than teak oil and looks better.) The manufacturer assisted us in getting replacement covers for the uniquely shaped seat cushions two years ago. These are not Sunbrella so fade after years in sunlight.

Beautiful Sturdy Chairs

So happy with our purchase of these chairs and table. The chairs are beautifully made and sturdy. Was pleasantly surprised at how heavy they are and will hold a great deal of weight. The gentleman who delivered from the White Glove service were exceptional. They placed them exactly where we wanted them, made sure there were no defects, and cleaned up perfectly. We would highly recommend them. Thank you for our beautiful furniture.

Quality

Bristol teak table and chairs are sturdy. To future buyers, don't expect the set to look like a nice brown tone finish like the one you see on the picture. It looks more like a slightly faded finish. I suggest you coat it yourself with oil for teak. They should be available at Home Depot etc. The furniture was great nonetheless.

Chair is of sound construction, cushion could be better. The vendor could have done a better job on the sanding finish I will have to finish to meet my standards
