After 60 years the Breville is my first toaster oven. As a single person, I wanted to scale way down on conventional oven use for cooking a single meal. I like the attractive stainless-steel design, "smart" features, quality, and variety of functions. It's been about 2 months, and I am just starting to branch out from toast, pizza, and simple cooking. Here’s to the “toast of the kitchen.” I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do.

Makes my kitchen efficient.

Love this oven!
I bought this as a replacement for a name brand air fryer oven (which I hated) and which broke after just a few years. As a result, I decided to go back to a conventional toaster oven. This oven cooks evenly, is easy to use, and is the perfect size! I have never purchased a Breville product before, but I am very impressed with this one!

only toasts one side of bread
I bought this a few weeks ago. this is my i bought i bought the smaller version and it only toasted one side of the bread. Threw it in the junk pile because the woman at breville made me jump through hoops to send it back. Bought this one and guess what ? Toaster only toasts one side of the bread. great for bagels and the oven works great.

Inherent in the design of a toaster oven appliance, in comparison to a traditional upright toaster, is that the toast is in effect laying on a wire rack, and free of obstruction on the top. The wire rack naturally deflects a significant amount of radiant heat, and therefore toasting less than the top of the bread, which is exposed to the heating elements without the rack in the way. This is commonly seen in restaurant toast as well and is unavoidable. We do value customers' input. Old Standby
This is the second one we have bought. First one died after about 20 years due to a thermal fuse. Could have changed it but it was time to renew. Never a problem, always did what we asked and then some. That’s why we bought another one.

About to replace this after 12 years of daily use
We have had our Breville Compact Smart Oven for almost 12 years now. It has toasted breakfast, roasted chicken, reheated pizza, baked potatoes, without a hitch. But lately it has been taking longer to toast bread and heating unevenly. I’ll happily buy a new one and hope for another 12 years—definitely the most reliable toaster we have ever owned.

Outstanding toaster oven
This is a wonderful product. It toasts evenly and even has a bagel setting. It’s a great size . Compact but large enough for a casserole dish.
