Happy Consumer

This has been a great purchase so far. We have been dialing in shots like nobody’s business. The front filling water chamber is very convenient.

Upgrade on Oracle

I had a refurbished Oracle and loved the performance, design thoughtfulness and workflow. I have a better grinder, though, so when it came time to replace, I thought about the Dual Boiler - supposedly exactly the same under the hood, but grinderless. I like it so much more. For some reason, I find it makes better coffee more consistently, and the milk texturing is far superior, especially on small quantities. Love it.

dual boiler

good machine, easy to use

Great machine

Easy to use with scope for developing your skill levels; there are enough variables that you can experiment with your coffee making methods to see what changes. If you like the actual ritual of coffee making, this is almost an essential piece of equipment: it’s more involving (and satisfying) than simply pushing a button and collecting a coffee. Only advice I would give is to spend on a quality grinder to match the abilities of the the dual boiler, and make sure you use high quality freshly roasted beans, as these have made an immense difference to the quality of coffee being produced. Can’t think of anything I don’t like about it- it does everything well.

Simply Great

Finally gifted myself a BDB, and not disappointed, easy to set up, a day to master the workings of machine, great consistent coffee, it takes a minute longer than the old thermo block to be ready, but it's in league to most home machines and I've owned a few over the past 20 years. Happy coffee bean

The machine is not performing to specs. Quality assurance is very much in doubt.

The boiler are not working in tandem. It takes longer for the steamer to head up than the expresso component. That means waiting longer than my old Doubler boiler. I suspect the quality control and testing is substandard. I contacted Breville to rectify this unusual behavior but no outcome from them yet. It has been over two weeks.

Dual boiler a great machine

I wanted a good quality manual espresso machine with quick startup and twin boilers. I got what I wanted plus more. Very happy with it @ 30 coffees down the road.
