Everything that everyone talks about in the reviews is true. Coffee grinder just stopped working this morning. Did everything to troubleshoot. Would do the automatic start and would come downstairs start to pour my coffee and it looks like tea. I've cleaned out the coffee machine more than I would like to. We received this as a wedding present. Haven't even used it 8 months and all of the problems are true. Such a disappointment as now I have to buy a new coffee maker.

Too many maintenance issues for the price
This machine requires a substantial amount of maintenance that is inconsistent with the price point. Considering options for an espresso machine and struggling to purchase a Breville because of my experience.

Disappointed
This is such a disappointment! We have cleaned this machine so many times, dumped out full pots because they are full of grounds (no matter what filter we use). So much work! Now it has code 001 it’s just a coffee machine I just need it to make coffee, nothing more. I give up. Buying something else

Good coffee, headache to clean and maintain
Daily and weekly maintenance or it will not work. The coffee is good, quality product, but you have to do intense cleaning once a week to keep grinder working (it jams bad). Unforgiving machine, do the maintenance or suffer.

Disaster
The machine keeps opening unexpectedly while grinding coffee, causing the grounds to spill all over the kitchen. This is a complete disaster. I chose the most expensive option specifically to avoid issues like this, but I was completely wrong. Extremely disappointing for what is supposedly a prime product.

Amazing Machine BUT Carafe…
I have owned this machine for a few years and it makes great coffee. I would give this 5 stars but the grind size knob does not adjust from anything but a level 3, which is annoying. Also, the carafe is impossible to pour from without turning it fully upside down and my lid broke from washing it in the sink! I wish replacement parts were cheaper or if someone at Breville could help me out with these issues.

TERRIBLE - and A MESS!!!
I've had this for 3 days and the first day was fine. Now the filter overflows and no coffee comes out and I clean it THOROUGHLY after every use. Then the WORST part, after it is done brewing and I manually let the coffee into my cup since it wont work, the door SWINGS open and grinds and water fly everywhere and I have to clean up the counter. Does anyone know how to stop it from auto opening the filter basket after EVERY brew so this mess is prevented?
