So sad
The paddle is scraping the pan for some reason, and some type of grease is entering the pan from the paddle. This is the second Breadman I've bought in the last few years, and the same thing keeps happening. I'm extremely disappointed.

Lasts
I've had the Breadman Pro for years and have used it a lot. It is working as well as when I first got it. I just wanted to see what is new with Breadmans and wow, it looks like I must have one of the newer ones. But how to give up my old one?

Waste of Money, Time and Ingredients!
I bought this because my 22-year-old bread maker finally gave up the ghost. I was excited at the different sizes of loaves and and the shape of the loaf pan. My excitement quickly ended when I tried to make bread in this. The first time I made it, the macadamia nuts were never mixed in and flour was everywhere on top. The bread was inedible. The second time I tried to make anything, it never heated and I had to throw out every bit of ingredients. The third time the machine worked and the fourth time I try to make cinnamon raisin bread and the automatic fruit dispenser worked but nothing else did. The unit was cold to the touch. Needless to say, I will never buy another bread man again!

Great machine, but pan spindle mechanism wears out
Machine itself is great. Used especially for making dough at least 3-4 times/week. This is our fifth Breadman machine and have always been satisfied with the brand. Pan washers and connections to the paddle generally wear out, though, and no replacement parts or pans are available, so although the machine is in great condition, we need to replace every few years because of the pans.

Bread maker paddle won't stay on, and leaks oil
I've barely had this bread maker for a month, and while I am quite active with using it, I'm already likely going to have to replace it. I chose this one because I wanted a bread maker with a collapsible paddle, so that it stopped tearing up the bottom of my loaves of bread, but that feature only works about 25% of the time, at best. I'd say about 50% of the time, the paddle comes right off during kneading, and just hangs out in the dough, leaving the dough not kneaded enough and forcing me to tear open the loaf to find the paddle, wrecking the loaf. 25% of the time the paddle collapses like it's supposed to, and makes a nice loaf of bread, and the other 25% of the time it stays on the post, but doesn't collapse (basically like a regular kneading paddle), tearing up the bottom of the loaf. And lately, the bread maker has started leaking oil into my loaf. It is dark grey, and looks like chunks of mold, but through reading about this issue, it seems that it's oil that's built into the machine to keep the post that operates the kneading paddle lubricated, but somehow it's leaking into my loaves of bread. I make all the bread for my big family, so I can't be messing around with a machine that causes this much trouble. Would not recommend buying at all.

Greasy dark stuff at the paddle,
Not sure what is wrong but my Breadman is ruining loaves of bread. The dark greasy stuff at the paddle is leaching that gunk…I’ve always loved Breadman but I hope to find a better machine.
