Fits like the old carafe, but it feels lighter and the glass is thinner, judging by the weight and feel of the carafe. I am afraid to place it on my granite countertop and crack it. I bought a replacement immediately after reading the reviews. It's sad Braun doesn't produce in Germany anymore, because quality seems to be affected.

Braun coffee pots are the Best!
The Braun coffee maker is an attractive pot & makes good coffee. I broke the pot & got fast service when ordered a new pot. I’d advise any friend this brand of coffee pot is the BEST!

Annoyed!
This is my 3rd time purchasing this carafe! Seriously, if I didn’t love my Braun I would throw the whole thing in a lake.

Poor quality
We bought a braun coffee maker in July carafe has already broke. Very poor quality glass obviously if a lot of other people are also complaining about carafe breaking.

Horrible Carafe
Love the coffee maker but the Carafe is horrible have broken 2 carafes already and do not see anyway to stop this - would love to see a stainless steel replacement that will work with these machines. Sorry to say I will not be buying another Carafe and will be replacing the machine with another brand.

Black Glass Carafe
This replacement was bang on - the pouring spout had moved when I put it in the dishwasher and I always had to turn it to the side when pouring water to fill it before making coffee. So none of that for now.

Need for backup pots
This is a useful pot for this type of Braun coffeemaker. It would get 5 stars except for its durability. I have broken 2 of these pots over a 5-year period without abuse. I bought 2 replacement pots just to have a back-up.

Cheap and Brittle - DO NOT BUY!!
I am having the same issue as all the other people that have reviewed. Didn’t even have hot coffee in it, just set it down on the counter and it broke. Super cheap quality for the price. This is the third time we’ve had to replace this pot. Extremely disappointing!
